With the feel of a faraway railway station discovered somewhere in the south of Spain or north of France, Tofino Wines is a dramatic, 2,500 sq. ft. space, with 20 ft. high ceilings and large picture windows that provide abundant natural light and street views. A comfortable, airy seating area features original 1920’s terra cotta tile floors, walnut tables, and a window bar overlooking Geary and Masonic streets. Exposed concrete columns and a polished concrete floor are offset by a hand-crafted marble bar and service counter, and custom-designed walnut shelving for wine retail. A former vault has been enclosed in glass and serves as a room for wine storage, private tastings and events. Vintage French railway station light fixtures hang in the space, and original 1950’s bus rolls from Vancouver, B.C. adorn the walls.
A stunning, spacious and highly adaptable physical space, Tofino Wines has the capacity for a wide range of private events, from intimate seated tastings to larger receptions. A flexible floor plan allows for a variety of different configurations and formats. Co-owner/Wine Director Mark Nevin can provide his expertise to guide guests in choosing the perfect wines for their events.
Parties of up to 30 guests can be accommodated in our cavernous wine room. Wine room event pricing begins at $60 per person. Groups larger than 30 guests can be accommodated with a complete buyout of the space.
While we do not take reservations, we do our best to accommodate smaller groups of 8 - 14 guests. There is a $30 per person minimum, plus tax and 20% service charge, with the check to be guaranteed on one credit card. So that we can best accommodate your party, please contact us in advance of your gathering.
